How to set a timer on iPhone Camera to capture the image?

To capture a family photo when there’s no one available to take the picture, you can set a timer on your iPhone Camera. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the iPhone Camera app.
  2. Locate the upward arrow icon at the top of the screen and tap on it.
  3. Scroll to the left of the screen, next to the “+” sign, until you find the clock icon. Tap on the clock icon to reveal timer options – choose the desired timer duration from the available options, such as 3s (3 seconds) or 10s (10 seconds). For a family photo, the 10s (10 seconds) option provides ample time for everyone to get into position.
  4. Once the timer duration is selected, tap the shutter button (capture button) to initiate the countdown (the timer). The camera will capture the image after the chosen timer duration elapses. That’s it!
