Siaha, (Mizoram) (India) Nov 10, 2022 (Marasaw com): The Jal Shakti Abhiyan Mela 2022 was organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Siaha and was held at KVK Complex, Siahatlâh – III.
The function Mela was presided over by Dr. H. Vanlalhmuliana, Senior Scientist and Head KVK, Siaha and was graced by Shri HC. Lalmalsawma Zasai, Dy. CEM, MADC, Siaha as a Chief Guest.
Chief Guest H C Lalmalsawma Zasai, Dy. CEM said that KVK in Siaha District is doing a great job and requested them to work harder for farmers and provide them with equipment and training.
Dy. CEM appreciated various initiatives taken by the KVK Siaha for the improvement of Agriculture in Siaha District.
Rain harvesting is a must to continue to manage crops even when we don’t receive rain. He also invited the KVK Siaha and AMFU to cooperate with the Agriculture Department of MADC to work together and do the project for Siaha District.
NT. Jevis, SDO, PHE, Siaha gave a PowerPoint presentation on “Rainwater harvesting for village water supply/irrigation”. J. Vanlalhluzuali, Subject Matter Specialist (Agricultural Extension), KVK Siaha highlighted water harvesting.
Dr. Lalzaidami, Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Science) concluded the function by delivering a vote of thanks.
